| Been There - Did It - It's Done |
2010 Christmas Run- December 4, 2010 dawned with snow pelting Greenfield. This was the day of the 2010 Annual BC Christmas Run - and being died in the wool cruisers - we hit the road - this time in our "POV's" (daily drivers). First stop was arranged by Candy Speas - that being the local Kroger Store lot where on this day 40,000+ pounds of Christmas food and other Holiday goodies were being collected for those in need. We were the first to arrive, unloaded our donations, hob-nobed with the Mayor of the fair city and then headed south to Shelbyville and their Cracker Barrel for breakfast. With snow continuing to fall, we headed south and then cross country to the exit-76 Antique Mall to see what was there that we couldn't live without. Treasurers loaded, snow continuing to fall making for a beautiful early Winter Indiana drive, we set out cross country again, through the back woods and over the rivers to Nashville. Driving south on that final leg, down the hill on 135 into town, it being all lit up with the lights, reds and greenery of the season put all in the spirit of the December day. Our dinner destination was the Brown County Inn. The weather had caused people with reservations to not be at the Inn so we Cruisers easily had our way with the salad bar, drinks and dinner. We had, at the end of the day, accomplished five of our cruising missions - friends, food, antqueing, more food and a great day on the roads of Indiana! Merry Christmas to all!
